Our House SystemThe House System was introduced to The British School in 1999, its format being very similar to the system used in many British Schools. The House System gives students the opportunity to work as part of a team in many areas of school life. Only a few may represent the school in a team, but every student represents their house, whether it be in academic, sporting or cultural activities. The House System makes all students feel part of a team. The three houses are called Chopin, Corpernicus and Curie. Each week the students' credits are counted towards the house competition and each term there are a number of sporting and cultural events. These include: Sports: Dodge ball; Football; Basketball; Street Basketball; Badminton; Gymnastics; Swimming and a major event in the summer, Sports Day (Athletics) Cultural: Singing; Music; Art; Chess; Poetry Reciting; Dance. At the end of the year all the points, from all the events are added up to give the final result.
