Double Success at Cambridge University!

We are pleased to announce that both of our students who applied for courses at Cambridge University – Dominika and Hang – have been accepted by this prestigious university!

Dominika has been offered a place at Jesus College to read Architecture.

Hang has been offered a place at Churchill College to read Engineering.

Congratulations to both Dominika and Hang as well as to their families and the staff members who contributed to their great achievement.

Dominika, 18 years old

She is a scholar, a candidate for Cambridge University to read Architecture at Jesus College, a linguist, an artist, a kick boxer and a hardworking student of the English International School, Prague. She likes history, mathematics, art and philosophy. She sees a connection between all these subjects – in ancient Greece artists were also mathematicians, scientists and sportsmen.

Architecture for Dominika is the ideal mix of science, art, mathematics, history, philosophy and common sense. Ultimately, buildings mirror the history and culture of the era, but also need to be technically well built, balanced in design and practical and comfortable to live in. In the future, she would like to focus on global architecture. She is fascinated by the approach of OMA Architects, especially the way they link artistic, constructional and practical elements of buildings.

She loves History of Art, where she can see traces of social values and attitudes of the past. She likes studying history, as she feels that history helps her understand how contemporary society is influenced by the past.

Dominika likes travelling – she studied in the USA for one year and in Australia for a couple of months, she has acted in the National Theatre and does kickboxing.
