The British International School Bratislava, led by Ms Wendy Ellis, is often cited as the best international school in Bratislava. The school is non-selective and well known for its distinctive child-centred learning programmes that extend beyond the classroom for high academic achievement

The curriculum is based on the English National system, with formal qualifications being offered at IGSCE and the IB Diploma level. IGCSE exam results for 2011/12 were excellent with over 45% of students getting A*-A grades. Exam results for the IB Diploma are consistently four points above the world average and some of the best in Central Europe.
A rich diversity of over 45 nationalities make up the student body at The British International School Bratislava. Approximately 10% are native English speakers and another 30% are Slovaks.
