Ideas Day workshop

Creativity and enthusiasm were top of the agenda at an Ideas Day workshop held in Abu Dhabi earlier this year. Back then, we were still shaping our vision for NordStar and wanted as many brains as possible to help us.

A group of parents, teachers, students and Learning Services staff members from across Nord Anglia Education proved a great choice for coming up with ideas for the future.

Each person had been nominated for their existing expertise and enthusiasm for charity work. All have the desire to see that develop even more through NordStar, and responded well to the activities we had planned for them.

They shared their thoughts on perceptions of the charity world, discussed good and bad charity experiences, and visualised what the future could hold for Nord Anglia Education’s charity work.

Lauren Radoja, an IB student at the British International School Bratislava, is involved in numerous charitable activities. She said:

“Attending the Ideas Day conference was a great opportunity and experience, as it enabled me to think on a larger scale, providing a more diverse view on the way in which charitable work can be accomplished. I found the day to be innovative and full of active ways of collaboration. It was great to hear of the different views and approaches of other people associated with Nord Anglia Education: teachers, parents and other students. I have taken new experiences away from this conference and an enthusiasm to make a significant, broader contribution.”
