EduAction
EduAction is a joint venture company set up by Nord Anglia Education plc and Amey plc to deliver support services in Waltham Forest. The contract, which ended on 31/03/08 provided a range of services supporting 87 schools and 35,000 children on behalf of the Council as part of an outsourced contract to deliver improvement. EduAction services fell into three main areas:
Vulnerable Children's Services - education welfare, education psychology, grants, special educational needs.
School Innovation - support to literacy and numeracy programmes, self evaluation, Excellence in Cities, monitoring, ethnic minority achievement support services.
Management Support Services - admissions, information, communications technology, finance, human resources, business planning, performance management.
Working alongside the Council with the Borough's schools, teachers, governors, parents and pupils, the shared objective was to enable all children of Waltham Forest to receive the high standard of education they deserve. Since the start of the partnership, significant results have been achieved including GCSE results which have risen for the sixth consecutive year and an Ofsted rating of Highly Satisfactory.
