Defence Services

Nord Anglia Defence Services is committed to building strategic partnerships to meet the MOD's education and training needs in the UK and overseas.

In May 2000, Nord Anglia Education plc was awarded the first major private sector contract to deliver vocational education and training on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. Nord Anglia’s 30 year contract is part of an innovative PFI scheme set up by the MOD to build and manage its new, purpose-designed Army Foundation College in Harrogate.

Nord Anglia provides vocational education, sports services and library services for over 1,300 16 and 17 year old junior soldiers. Nord Anglia also manages the Learning Resource Centre and the Learning Support Centre where Junior Soldiers receive individual support with their learning needs.

Nord Anglia Defence Services also has a key role in Defence Training Review (DTR) procurement as a part of the METrIX consortium. The DTR Transformation Programme will modernise training methods and technology in better accommodation and facilities.
