Building Schools for the future
Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is a national programme to lift educational attainment through a complete transformation of England’s secondary schools. The 10 to 15 year programme will see new schools built or existing schools upgraded, to meet the needs of communities in the 21st century.
Nord Anglia provides ICT and education services to Local Authorities and construction companies involved in the BSF programme. We can offer a number of services including:
- providing educational advice on school design and curriculum development
- offering guidance on Strategic Business Case development
- developing bespoke managed learning environments
- acting as the prime contractor for the ICT Managed Service and providing managed learning environments and online mentoring
We believe that BSF can improve education in number of ways, including:
Improving attainment – through good ICT and better designed buildings catering for multiple teaching and learning styles
Increasing attendance –through better schools and giving learners and the local community a sense of ownership
Improving behaviour – through school design encouraging better behaviour with open plan spaces, better circulation and CCTV
Closing the gap – through ensuring that the most and least able learners have positive experiences of school
