NORD ANGLIA EDUCATION OPENS ITS FIRST INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL IN THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATESNord Anglia Education officially opens The British International School, Abu Dhabi, on November 2nd 2009. The school, which opened its doors to children from across the Emirate in September, is the largest international school to open in the World this year. The school provides the children with state-of-the-art facilities, including well-equipped classrooms and learning centres, indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, athletics track and football pitch, as well as the newly established music technology centre. Several VIP guests in Abu Dhabi will be present at the official opening with a high profile visitor from the United Kingdom who will unveil a plaque commemorating the official opening. On the opening day, the school Principal, Stuart Dennis, will be taking the invited guests around the school. The students will be leading a press conference as part of their work on media and journalism. Mr Dennis said: “The British International School Abu Dhabi is already making a substantial contribution to the education of children in the UAE.
