The British International School Budapest is a member of The International Schools’ Theatre Association.

ISTA supports and promotes best practice in theatre education. It organises regular festivals around the world, bringing together theatre professionals like dancers, actors, musicians, directors and clowns to work with students. They explore themes and ideas as well as creating performances.

A group of students from Year 10 and IB attended the high school festival last year. They went along to masterclasses, observed professional performers and created a dramatic piece of promenade theatre inspired by the history of Hungary. KS3 students will attend the festival in Turkey in March
