Board AppointmentNord Anglia Education is a leading provider of education, training and childcare with three distinct operating divisions - International Schools, Learning Services and NurseriesThe Board of Nord Anglia is pleased to announce the appointment of Alasdair Marnoch as a non-executive director of the Group, with effect from 27 June 2006. He will also become a member of the Audit Committee. Mr Marnoch, aged 43, has held senior finance roles in a number of companies, including Jarvis plc ('Jarvis') and Thames Water plc. He joined Jarvis in February 2005, to oversee the long and complex restructuring of that business. Having overseen the successful restructuring at Jarvis, Mr Marnoch left at the end of May to take up a new appointment as Group Finance Director of Xafinity, one of the UK's leading pension consulting, software services and Business Process Outsourcing companies. Nord Anglia confirms that there are no matters requiring disclosure in relation to paragraphs 9.16.13 (2) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority Alan Kelsey, Chairman of Nord Anglia, comments: 'I am delighted to welcome Alasdair to the Board and am confident that his wide experience in senior finance roles within a range of different businesses will be of great benefit to us.' |
