NORD ANGLIA SELECTED BY OFSTED TO PROVIDE INSPECTION SERVICESNorthern Schools and national FE successes boost Outsourcing Division08/04/2005NORD Anglia Education PLC (‘Nord Anglia´) the education, training and childcare company (LSE: NAE) is delighted to announce that Ofsted has selected the Company as a provider of Regional Inspection Services for the delivery of school inspections and the sole national provider of Further Education (FE) inspections. The contract, which will be worth £26 million to Nord Anglia over four years, is for the delivery of inspection services to 2,718 schools in the north of England and 387 Further Education Colleges and School Sixth Forms throughout England. The new contract will commence in September 2005. At present, Nord Anglia provides inspection services to 178 schools. The award of the contracts means that Nord Anglia, which has delivered school inspections since 1994, is now one of only five providers of inspections for Ofsted in the country. Nord Anglia´s success in obtaining the Further Education inspection contract will position the Company as the only provider of college inspections throughout England. "We are absolutely delighted that Ofsted has chosen Nord Anglia to be one of its Regional Inspection Services Providers and we are very excited that we have been selected as the only company to deliver Further Education inspections," said Rosamund Marshall, Managing Director of Nord Anglia´s Outsourcing Division. Nord Anglia also announces that during the first eleven weeks (ended 4 April, 2005) of the new marketing campaign within the Nurseries Division, the Division secured 289 net new full-time equivalent pupils (FTEs) in aggregate. This represents an increase in overall occupancy levels of c.3% since the beginning of the campaign. A further update on the impact of the campaign will be issued when it closes at the end of April.
