Message from our Chief Executive
Following the sale of the Nursery Division, we will now focus exclusively on our International Schools and Learning Services divisions. Both operate in attractive, high growth markets, and are well placed to become even more successful.
In our International Schools division, we will develop our presence in both new and existing locations. Key countries identified for expansion include Singapore, Malaysia, China, the Gulf States and Continental Europe. The growing affluent domestic Chinese market, in particular, represents an exciting opportunity for Nord Anglia.
We will continue to target new contracts for the growth of our Learning Services division and seek to retain our current business with local and national government agencies as these contracts fall due for renewal. In particular Nord Anglia will leverage the experience it has gained from operating contracts in the UK for Ofsted and the Quality Improvement Agency as a platform for other contracts in the country.
Nord Anglia is also increasingly focused on using the experience it has gained in the UK to win and operate contracts overseas. We will build on our recent successes with contracts for educational reform, school improvement and quality reviews of schools in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and continue to build our reputation to create a portfolio of overseas Learning Services contracts.
