Nord Anglia Education

Nord Anglia Education is a leader in the international provision of high quality, innovative education, training and guidance for children and young adults.

Since our group was founded in 1972, it has developed extensive experience of managing schools and working with governments to raise standards and improve educational achievement. The group has been operating international schools since 1992. It currently operates a total of 12 premium schools in Asia (5 schools), Europe (6 schools) and the Middle East (1 school).

In total, staff at the schools teach over 6,000 students representing more than 80 nationalities. The schools deliver high quality education to students aged 3-18. All but two of our schools follow a curriculum based on the National Curriculum of England, adapted country by country to meet local culture and local conditions.

Our schools offer IGCSEs and the International Baccalaureate plus, in some locations, A-levels. Collège Champittet, Switzerland (campuses in Pully and Nyon), is a recent and welcome addition to our family of schools.

Our Education Team

The Schools' Principals are supported by a high level education team. This provides leadership and challenge to ensure Nord Anglia Schools remain abreast of educational development and form a diverse but highly successful group of premium schools.

So, how does being a part of Nord Anglia Education help my child?

Indirectly, your child attends a school where the leadership have the benefit not only of extensive high educational support but also the shared wisdom of experienced Principals around the world. This is especially valuable in an international setting where schools and teachers can become professionally isolated.

It means expertise is shared, teachers develop their subject knowledge and teaching strategies and stay current. Good ideas developed elsewhere in the group are also shared amongst the schools.

Directly, students at BISB have the possibility to connect and collaborate in various ways with students and teachers all over the world.

  • The Nord Anglia Sports Tournaments are a well established feature of our Calendar. Our students from KS2 upwards have the opportunity to compete with teams from other NA schools in a variety of sports.
  • The Nord Anglia Global Classroom initiative begun in 2010 seeks to provide a VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) accessible to all NAE students and teachers. Students will be able to debate with each other, share ideas, enter competitions, practice their languages and much more.
  • Students will have the opportunity to represent their school on the Nord Anglia Schools Student Council conference.
  • In order to celebrate the addition of our two Swiss schools to the group, this year 20 students from each school will be invited to join peers of the Champittet School at their annual ski week in the Alps.

These are all ways in which the school and your child benefit from being a part of the Nord Anglia group.
