Governance and AccreditationThe British International School of Budapest is an organisation established to provide high quality, British-style, education to the local and expatriate community in Budapest. Governance We are part of the Nord Anglia Education group, a British organisation founded in 1972 specialising solely in education. Nord Anglia Education provides schools inspection services to the British Government and works with governments around the world to improve educational standards. Nord Anglia Education rigorously monitors all aspects of the school’s provision through the Principal; reviewing performance data, staff, parent and student feedback, as well as other indicators of high quality provision. The NAE education team is headed by Prof. Deborah Eyre, who, together with her team of highly qualified and experienced Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education) inspectors, provide support and leadership to the schools to ensure high performance. The school leadership and management is also advised by the PAC – the Parents Advisory Council – a body appointed by election from the parent community. This group works in partnership with the Principal to ensure the school is focused on excellence in all areas. This is achieved through monitoring of both our curricular and extra-curricular standards and achievements as well as providing a parental perspective on high level strategic decisions.
