Our ISI report

The British School of Beijing was inspected in February 2011 by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) from the UK.

The ISI inspects UK private schools on behalf of the UK government and is responsible for ensuring that quality standards are met and that pupils at Britain’s best schools are being well educated to a good standard.

An ISI inspection is not simply an accreditation, though these are also important, it is a mark of quality in all regards.

We are extremely proud of our report; it is a validation of all our hard work and an assurance to parents that our standards in all areas, compared to the best of the UK and the world, are indeed high. Resting on our laurels however is not on our agenda and we look to the future at all times.

We received high praise for the standards of student achievement, student behaviour, extracurricular activities, music, and sport. I have included a shortened version of these points from the report on the next page.
