Arranging a Visit

It's always good to be able to meet people, children and parents, and talk about their plans, needs, aims and aspirations. We're proud of our school, so we like showing people around and talking about that too.

We'll arrange a visit at a time that fits in with your schedule.  We're aware that you may only be in the city for a short time when you visit, so we'll make the most of your time with us.  If we know something of your children's ages, skills and interests before you visit, we'll be able to tailor your visit so you get the most of it.  In particular, if you aren't confident with your spoken English, we can normally arrange to have someone who speaks your own language help you during your visit if you tell us in advance.

We'd love to meet you and your children, although we understand that it isn't always possible for children to accompany their parents on preliminary trips to Beijing.

Visits typically last between one and two hours, perhaps more if you have primary and secondary age children.  You'll meet with our admissions staff, and you'll meet with one or more of the Principal, Head of Primary and Head of Secondary.  This will give us a chance to hear about you and your children, and for you to hear something about our approach to education.  Our academic staff will be able to talk with you about where your children will best fit in and about any subject choices or curricular issues that are relevant. It's sometimes helpful if you bring school reports with you, as this is a good time for us to be able to look at them.

There will be an opportunity to tour the school, and we hope you'll get a feel for the place as you see our students and staff in action.  We'll show you parts of the school that you particularly want to see. If there are particular specialist staff you know you're going to want to meet, it tends to be helpful if you can let us know in advance and we'll try to build this in to your programme.
