Overview

At The British International School Abu Dhabi, we support and challenge every student to be the best they can be.

Part of the Nord Anglia Education Group, our school has strong education foundations and the support of a network of 13 other premium international schools worldwide.

We offer a premium quality education for students aged 3 - 18 years. We will open our first cohort of Year 12 in September 2013, with subsequent years to follow. We are also currently in the planning and accreditation stage to offer the IB Diploma Programme in 2013/14.

We are an inclusive school; we always seek to promote equal opportunity and do not require students to sit entrance exams.

We believe in high academic achievements, maximising every student's academic development. Tracking progress is important to us; we map each student’s learning and use differentiated instruction to ensure every student fulfills their potential.

Our teachers are highly experienced and committed to the academic, social and physical development of every child. 70% of our teachers are from the UK and all of our teachers receive continuing professional development through Nord Anglia University.

Communication is important to us; weekly emails from class teachers let parents know what learning will happen in the coming week.  Regular newsletters and information keep our parents informed of school activities, and regular feedback from parents keeps the school up-to-speed with hot issues.

Parents are welcome at the British International School; we encourage parents to become actively involved in the school; to volunteer; to celebrate; to attend a workshop and to join our weekly assemblies.

The British International School offers students a truly international experience with students representing 56 different countries. 35% of our students are from the UK, 19% are UAE Nationals or from GCC countires, 12% are from the USA and Australia and the remaining students originate from all the countries of the world.

We are proud of our school and invite all families to join us on a personal school tour, meet our students and speak with our staff.
